Hi everyone,
I just have a quick question concerning the COG database. I am trying to search for COG IDs by gene name and am getting mixed results. For example, say I am trying to find the COG for nosZ. I searched what I thought was a complete database and got no hits. So I assumed that it wasn't in the database. Later on, I stumbled upon the COG (4263) for the gene. I have tried a lot of different things but get mixed results. Is there a single database that has all of the COGs??
Thank you in advance!!
