Hi, we are planning to do metagenomics we want to go for commercial sequencing since we don't have access to different NGS platforms which are suitable for metagenomics i.e. illumina MiSeq, 454 Roche, Ion torrent. Since its for the first time for us to do metagenomics so some basic questions arise that how much neucleotide data is generated per sample in these plat forms or if there is a reference to follow

Illumina HiSeq offers the maximum volume for the lowest cost, and thus tends to be the best choice for metagenomics.
