Can you really see miRNAs on gels before PCR amplification

I am new to miRNAseq. We plan to do miRNAseq using small RNA prep V1.0 and I am wondering if we could really see miRNAs on gel after each ligation?

I have never been able to see them. I just do a blind cut and pray a lot!

I finally cut it blindly too. But it worked!

if you use an adenylated 3' adapter you don't have to perform the small RNA gels and cuts. the adapter specifically will bind to your smalls.
