The Bioinfo-core group are a collection of people working for bioinformatics core facilities around the world. The aim of the group is to share experience between members of the group and to provide a forum where the community of core facilities can have a voice.
In addition to a yearly workshop at ISMB the group also arrange a series of conference calls on relevant informatics topics. These are open to anyone who is interested and we encourage as many people as possible to attend.
The next conference call for the group is today at 11AM ET (8AM PT, 5PM CET, 4PM BST). The reason for posting this here is that the major topic for discussion is how best to deal with ChIP Seq data. There should be a range of experience from different core facilities, but we welcome anyone with an interest in this area to come along.
To join the call you can call one of the toll free numbers on this list and use the access code 6430305.
We would encourage anyone who has a general interest in core facilities to join our mailing list where the bulk of the activity of our group happens throughout the year.
