    Job Summary
    The Bioinformatics Shared Resources (BSR) at the University of Utah (http://bioserver.hci.utah.edu) seeks a Bioinformatics Data Analyst (I or II)
    to consult with world class researchers on a variety of genomic projects. As a Bioinformatics Data Analyst/Programmer, you will assist researchers
    with the design of next-generation sequencing and microarray experiments, analyze and interpret data from those experiments, and evaluate and create
    new data analysis, data management, and data visualization tools (e.g. http://sourceforge.net/projects/useq/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/genoviz/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnomex/).

    Responsibilities
    1. Analysis of data from high throughput sequencing and microarray experiments.
    2. Create, maintain, and document computer software for data analysis and data management.
    3. Assist researchers with the design of genomic experiments.
    4. Instruct personnel in collaborating labs in the use of analysis methods and tools.

    Minimum Qualifications
    1. Masters degree in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Biostatistics, Computer Science or Molecular Biology. PhD preferred.
    2. Two or more years experience in genomic data analysis.
    3. Fluency in Java, Python, or C/C++ programming language.
    4. Fluency in written and spoken English.

    Other Information
    This position requires successful completion of a drug test and criminal background check.
