  • Bubbles in Miseq Flowcell

    Hi everyone,

I would like to know your opinion about the images in attachment.
The images are from different Runs, but this is the 5th Run that we detected strange things like this bubble.
I don’t know if you check the images in every Run, but for you, what kind of strange things you find in the images and assume that its normal?

    Thanks

I observed similar things as well. These runs more or less failed with bad clustering efficiency. Illumina support is on the case but hasn't solved anything, yet (and I don't know whether the bubbles are the cause).

      Hi dfhdfh,

      Thank you for your feedback.
We alreday runned the Miseq test and there's no problem in the fluidic system, but our local support will be here tomorrow to change some part from the fluidic system.

      No more feedback? anyone?

Bubbles are not that uncommon. It really depends on the frequency. I'd be curious if you find any tips.

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

          Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
          by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
