Oxford Nanopore Should Have It's Own Forum?
Since the MinION is now being shipped to early access sites, shouldn't Oxford Nanopore have it's own forum?

I don't know about others but mine ships tomorrow so for now I still consider it in the pipeline, although its getting towards the end of the pipe :-)

Are you telling me there's no NDA along with the Minion access programme? I'd be surprised if that was the case..

There is a vague NDA, basically saying that it would be really nice if people would wait until after they've had a successful burn-in before talking about Oxford Nanopore results. You can find more information on the MAP guide on the nanopore website:

As posted by NextGenSeek, early results are now being distributed:

I think it would be sensible to have a subforum like those of Illumina, Solid, PacBio etc.

See here for a [mostly] silent 2-hour sequencing run. Expect results to start crawling out of the woodwork any time now.

Reads of over 100 kB are being obtained

Yes. Dealing with some other problems today but yes. ASAP. Thanks for suggesting.

Also, it might be time to close some forums too...or make a new section of "retired" technologies...

Will retire some 'oldies' soon.
