Sample/library prep of DNA and RNA in a metagenomic sample
 

Hi all,

Many of the metagenomic studies I have seen published so far seem to focus on either RNA viruses OR bacterial communities (i.e., DNA). Can anyone point me to some protocols or published papers that process metagenomic samples for the detection of both RNA and DNA in the same sample?
