A privately held biotechnology company based in St. Louis, Cofactor employs experimental design, next-generation sequencing, and proprietary analysis technology and pipelines to accelerate its partners' biological research, discovery, and product development in a number of scientific areas worldwide.
Key responsibilities include (for which the hire will receive training):
Construction of Next-Generation DNA Sequencing libraries for multiple sequencing platforms
Instrument operation of multiple sequencing platforms
New and existing sequencing product development
We seek demonstrated accomplishment in the following:
Experience takes precedence over educational background, but we're looking for a minimum of a Master's degree with two years of relevant experience, with a PhD preferred.

- Excellent working knowledge of molecular biology lab skills
- Sterile technique
- Enzymatic manipulations
- Gel electrophoresis and extraction
- cDNA synthesis
- Experience working with RNA
- PCR
- Ability to troubleshoot and improve upon current protocols
- Ability to communicate with both scientists and non-scientists
