16s rRNA gene sequencing(metagenomics)
 

Hello,
I am trying to collect information for the library preparation for 16s rRNA sequencing using Illumina technology. I am going to do it for the first time, I have water samples. I want to know which will be the best DNA extraction kit, primers and kit for library preparation.
I searched online and found Meta-G-Nome™ DNA Isolation Kit for DNA extraction.
Also, I am getting results for primers which correspond to nine hypervariable regions. I am confused as different publications used different hv region primers.Please suggest which one will be good for startup out of nine.
