Gene cluster identification using gff file

Hello everyone.
I have a list of genes. I want to know which of these are separated by nomore than eight genes (not present in the gene list) on genome using a gff file.

How to Extract Multiple Sequence from Multi Fasta File by ID list

Hi,
I have a list of ids in .txt format and a multi fasta file with sequences. I need to extract sequences with the IDs in the list.

Can you help me, please?

Thanks so much, dpryan! but this command don't create a bam from two cromosomes.

i used this :

samtools merge merged.bam <(samtools view -b SE.bam chr1) & (samtools view -b SE.bam chr2)
...

Samtools: extract multiple cromosomes/scaffolds from bam file

Hi,
I want to create a bam file containing three or four chromosomes/scaffolds.
I only know this command

samtools view -b align.sort.bam Chr06 > chr06.bam
