They still can be used, even for months. If a year since expiration has passed, just reduce the cycle numbers to the 2/3 of the cap e.g. 600cycles to 400 for run.

Seems to be overclustering in some form. Also, a clustering is more intense in the region, so the camera loses focus. Maybe the QC dropped off at this cycle. You should check out with the support team
