Yes that was the problem, not sure how i missed that.

Now I still get the following complaints when compiling.
...
checking for _Bool... no
...
checking for special C compiler options needed for large files... no
checking for _FILE_OFFSET_BITS value needed for large files... no
...

Not sure how to fix these ones.
