Bioo Scientific recently launched the NEXTflex-HT™ Barcodes, single-index barcodes added during the ligation step of library prep, which offer deep multiplexing for both paired-end and single-read Illumina sequencing. Each barcode contains a unique 12 nt index sequence with a Hamming Distance of five or greater, permitting dual error correction to enable proper differentiation between samples. Additionally, each pair of consecutive barcodes is suitable for low level multiplexing. Currently 384 barcodes are available; however, > 2,000 are being developed.
