    set up workstation for 4TB of fastq.gz

    Hi all, i was asked to set up a bioinformatics computer at my workbench to handle 4TB of sequencing data. The budget would be about 7k dollar in purchasing items like CPU, RAM, storage. Does 16 cores @2.4GHz and 120 GB of RAM sounds possible for these ware? May i get some recommendation from you all? I am really new in this field and hope to get some guidance here...thank you

      What is the purpose of the computer besides storage? To perform bioinformatics analysis, I would want to have at least 10Tb hard disk, 64 CPUs and 120Gb of RAM.
