Really dumb question, but did Qiagen revive pyrosequencing when I wasn't looking?

Looks like they did. No obvious announcements/comments from pundits anywhere either (google does not seem to bring anything up other than Qiagen's own site). Must be an application specific release.
The PyroMark Q24 is highly suited for the analysis of CpG methylation, SNPs, insertion/deletions, STRs, variable gene copy number, as well as for microbial identification and resistance typing.Last edited by GenoMax; 12-18-2018, 08:54 AM.

QIAGEN bought Biotage (what was Pyrosequencing AB and the original outlicencing entity for the IP) in 2008. The PyroMark assays have been available from QIAGEN for about that length of time from marketing materials. I'm not sure pyrosequencing ever really went away.

Thanks - so for these specific applications, it's still here.Originally posted by Bukowski View PostQIAGEN bought Biotage (what was Pyrosequencing AB and the original outlicencing entity for the IP) in 2008. Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?
Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating...-

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.
We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing...-
