FFPE DNA prep from LCM

Hello,

Does anyone have experience, + or -, working with any commercial kits to take LCM'd FFPE tissue to Shearing step (Covaris) for SOLiD?

We've used the qiagen qiaamp dna micro kit with reasonable results. For illumina rather than solid, so I don't know whether that would make a difference. It's a bit unpredictable. Mostly library prep works but sometimes it doesn't.
