    RNA-seq from oligo(dT) primed cDNA

    A collaborator has a good set of oligo(dT) primed cDNAs. Does anybody have an opinion if it would be reasonable to use these for RNA-seq or would it be a waste of time and money?

    The sample collection is not trivial, will take 6 to 12 months and involves recruiting patients and subjecting them to a somewhat uncomfortable procedure.

    In principle, nothing wrong with this approach. Depends what you mean by "good". Are there adapters on these cDNAs? What average length are they? Are they double stranded? Were they ribo-depleted?

    You mean if they have to be repeated, right?
