Thanks genericforms. In the introduction, there are considerable number of citation from blog (Well, no journal will condem the traditional pillar of scientific publishing...anyway). So probably no easy import and export from endnote, please manually create the reference in endnote (is troublesome I know). I can help if needed, genericforms. I am used to Endnote.

I want to stress, the sources which I quote are reputable as I can tell.

I will continue writing the success cases tomorrow.

Your figure revisions look great. As far as I am concerned, these figures are ready for submission.

Thanks to your suggestions. It's all a result of joined ideas.

I edited the first two sections and think they look pretty good. We should now concentrate on the last three sections. Almost there.

In fact, some while ago people suggested to merge the content of BioStar and Seqanswers into one places or sync content across two places ......

Given the current progress, we can finalize the MS within this week.

                Good work everyone!

Anyone want to nominate usage success cases of SEQanswers?

                    Important things to do now

1> Please suggest success cases of using SEQanswers (see http://seqanswers.com/wiki/Publicati...for_SEQanswers for current suggested case studies)

2> Rearrange the figures (see gdoc)

                      Hi all,

I think the MS is almost ready now !!!!

We have written a lot today.

1> I tried to put the use cases in text form from the current list. I rearranged them so they are grouped together. Feel free to convert back to the list if you don't like it. We need to add some more examples of how the discussions lead to publications (at least one example, if we have).

I agree, we did a lot during the last days. If we keep up the good work, we should be able to have something ready by the end of the week.

One thing I want to ask about Figure 1B.

Why is it "Forum Readership"? Should it be "Countries Members from" or sort of things?

Because this data is based on the Google Analytics viewer numbers and does not imply SEQanswers members, only people reading the forum.

Cancer Drug Resistance: The Lingering Barrier to Rising Survival
                                  by SEQadmin2

Cancer survival rates have significantly increased in the last few decades in the United States, reaching a combined 70% 5-year survival rate by 2021. Behind this number, there are years of research to find new therapies, drug targets, and early detection methods. But there is one core challenge that keeps slowing down these advances, and it’s about drug resistance.

There is no single reason why many patients don’t respond to treatment as expected. Cancer is...

Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.

I’m not a sequencing expert. I’m a purification scientist who uses NGS to evaluate workflows my group develops. With this perspective, we think about the sample first and the NGS workflow second. The sequencer is an exceptionally honest reporter, but it can only report on what you give it, so whether you get clean, interpretable data from an NGS workflow is largely determined before you begin.

Here are nine questions we think about, in roughly the order they matter, before...
