    Flow cell design?

Can anyone point me to where I can find public information on the design of the integrated flow cell that Ion Torrent uses in their chips? I don't need great details - basic channel layout and rough dimensions, etc, would be sufficient. From the videos and pics out there it just looks like a molded shell with one inlet and one outlet port and no particular structure in between. Is that all?

this thread links to some interesting documents. You can also read their nature paper which goes in to specific details.

Heck no, just curious. I doubt that once set in place by Van der Waals forces there is any type of external agitation that could effectively dislodge a significant number of beads. But if someone comes up with a method it would put a serious dent into Life's consumables revenue stream.

Has anyone run the Paired-End method yet? I heard there is prep off the instrument to do the enzymatic steps for the second read. If you looked at the beads/reads present in read 1 and then present in read 2 it could give an indication on how well the beads stay in the wells.

Thank you for good name for this device.
The most difficult will be to develop cameraboad for chip.
I had you in mind when I asked that question.

This is for another thread, but I would love to hear more about what you're doing, given all the spy documents you post.

Advanced Sequencing Platforms Tackle Neuroscience’s Toughest Genomics Problems
              by SEQadmin2

Genomics studies in neuroscience face a special challenge due to the brain’s complexity and scarcity of samples. Mapping changes in cell type and state using conventional next-generation sequencing methods remains challenging. Advances in technologies like single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and long-read sequencing have opened the door to deeper studies of the brain and diseases like Alzheimer’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and schizophrenia.

Cancer Drug Resistance: The Lingering Barrier to Rising Survival
              by SEQadmin2

Cancer survival rates have significantly increased in the last few decades in the United States, reaching a combined 70% 5-year survival rate by 2021. Behind this number, there are years of research to find new therapies, drug targets, and early detection methods. But there is one core challenge that keeps slowing down these advances, and it’s about drug resistance.

There is no single reason why many patients don’t respond to treatment as expected. Cancer is...
