Gel used for size selection

Hi there,

We are doing our home made protocol for RNAseq and smallRNAseq. After budgetting, i found out that the gels used for gel size selection are quite expensive (15$ to 20$) for pre-cast gel. I look for hi resolution agarose that could be not so expensive? any company recommandation?

Hi,
if your product is <1000 bp you can try NuSieve® GTG® Agarose (Lonza). In my hands it gave a much sharper band (and yield) than other low-melting agarose.
