Comparison between SOLiD, Illumina MiSeq and Illumina HiSeq
My lab wants to sequence dna sample. We are aiming for a 25-30x coverage, pair-end sequence. The genome size is around 500million bp.
We are currently looking for the best sequencing platform between miseq, hiseq2000 and solid to send our samples for sequencing (to a core lab somewhere).
So, my question to all of you intelligent people is:
What are the pros and cons of those three platforms?
This question might have been asked before, maybe in a different form or context. If so, please direct me to those posts so that I can find some answers.
