    Hi,

I only have ESTs sequencing by hand and want to make annotation to these sequencing.

Can I use Blast2go to annotate these sequencing?

    Thanks!

Yes, just make sure you have your EST sequences in Fasta format. Load them into Blast2GO and proceed with the steps: NCBI Blast, GO-Mapping, B2G Annotation.

You can also add InterProScan domain-based GO terms to you sequences. Run InterPro and then run "Merge InterProScan GOs to annotations".

To use Blast2GO you have to register for a free basic account: https://www.blast2go.com/blast2go-pr...register-basic

        Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
        by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
