  • DBD::mysql::st execute failed

    I am using orthomcl... and currently encountering a error at step 9 (orthomclLoadBlast)... the error says 'DBD::mysql::st execute failed: The used command is not allowed with this MySQL version at orthomclLoadBlast line 39, <F> line 14.'

    The orthomcl manual suggests to reinstall Mysql as it was configured without the load local infile tag.... I did that well a several times but when i reinstall the server does not start... i m using ubuntu 12.04... and only when i install the mysql package that comes with ubuntu i m able to start the server but it is by default not configured with Load Local infile option... what should I do ???

    I also tried using the mysql import command to directly import the files into the table but then i get an error saying 'mysqlimport: Error: 13, File '/var/lib/mysql/SimilarSequences.txt' not found (Errcode: 13), when using table: SimilarSequences'.... although when the file is persent at its printed path

    Can anybody please help me... ??????

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

      Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

      Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
      by seqadmin

      Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
