I am writing to provide a remider about deadlines and provide a brief update regarding the 2012 Workshop on Genomics being held in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic being held from 8-21 January, 2012. Updated information can be found on the Workshop web site: http://evomics.org.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application deadline is 15 November, 2011. If you or a colleague are considering applying please make sure to do so before the deadline. SCHOLARSHIPS
We will be awarding up to five $1,000 travel awards. To be considered for a travel award you will have to be accepted to the Workshop on Genomics and submit a written essay describing how the advent of moden sequencing technologies has altered your research program. Selected essays will be published on the evomics.org web site. More detail and a submission form can be found on our scholarship page at:http://evomics.org/registration-form/scholarships/

ADVANCED TOPICS
The application deadline for the Advanced Topic Sessions is also 15 November, 2011. In addition to 3-day sessions on BioPython and R/BioConductor, we are working with the GMOD group to bring a 3-day GMOD/gbrowse Advanced Topic Session. For those of you interested in genome annotation and visualization this should be an outstanding opportunity.
