  • Sample sheet for NextSeq-custom

    hi,

i have a single index run of 16 samples i want to run on the NS. These are not my samples and i was provided with 2 sets of indexes for these samples as they are not too sure what ones they used in setting up the library prep!!!!!

Anyhow, what can i do? i now have a choice of 32 indexes for my 16 samples. Can i set up my sample sheet to reflect this? Its a custom set of indexes.

    Thanks!

You could just use sample1_index, sample2_index sample32_index type thing to set up a samplesheet to do the demux. Once you know what indexes are real you can do a second run with sampleNames_indexes to clean things up. Ultimately the submitters would need to know what index goes with what sample since there is no way to figure that out automagically.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
