Is there a program which I can tell to list me all known genes belonging to a certain genomic region from an existing genome? Or how would you do this?

The UCSC genome (Tables) site will do that for you, just input the genomic region and specific the gene track you like and the output format you want..Originally posted by Marius View Post

I like BioMart for this kind of query. You can filter your region of interest in a whole pile of ways and can then export pretty much any combination of fields, whether annotation or sequence based.Comment
