    Genomics Analysis Software Inside Sales Representative

    Location: CLC bio US headquarters in Cambridge, MA

    As our new Inside Sales Representative, you should be passionate about genome biology as well as interacting with highly skilled scientists at local, regional and global accounts in collaboration with your 75 colleagues around the world. Specifically, you focus your energy on existing and future customers in the US, and you will be in contact with these groups on a daily basis, both by proactively making outbound calls, email communications, and web demonstrations, as well as by managing phone calls and email inquiries.

    Main responsibilities

    • Follow-up on pre-qualified leads identified and forwarded by your CLC bio colleagues from Internet downloads and trade shows etc.
    • Through phone conversations, support current and prospective customers throughout their investment process in CLC bio bioinformatics solutions
    • Perform internet based and on site product demonstration and training sessions on your own and together with CLC bio colleagues
    • Work with the regional sales, support, and developer staff; NGS instrument vendors; external sales partners etc. to ensure the best possible support to our current and prospective customers
    • Negotiate and close sales leads for bioinformatics solutions to customers in pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical, and academic sectors
    • Participation in trade shows

    Minimum Requirements

    • Scientific background in molecular biology or another life science subject. Preferably you have a PhD degree
    • Sales experience including either (a) sale of bioinformatics software and services, or (b) sale to scientists involved in DNA-sequencing, preferably Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
    • Excellent customer service skills, enthusiastic attitude, and solid work ethics
