  • Trouble downloading Resource Bundle from Broad Institute

Sorry all for being so inexperienced, but I am at a loss for how to download the Resource Bundle from Broad's FTP site. I see this on the Broad's website,

Inside of the Broad, the latest bundle will always be available in:

    /humgen/gsa-hpprojects/GATK/bundle/current

with a subdirectory containing for each reference sequence and associated data files.

External users can download these files (or corresponding .gz versions) from the GSA FTP Server in the directory bundle. Gzipped files should be unzipped before attempting to use them. Note that there is no "current link" on the FTP; users should download the highest numbered directory under current (this is the most recent data set)
    along with the following:

    Downloading

    location: ftp.broadinstitute.org
    username: gsapubftp-anonymous
    password: <blank>
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you are not on broad campus you can't use the first method to download the bundle.

You could use any ftp program of your choice with the information you quoted in the second quote above to download the program.

    or use this link ftp://gsapubftp-anonymous:@ftp.broadinstitute.org/

If a password prompt window pops up next just hit enter. The "bundle" directory will be on the page that shows up next.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
