  • MiSeq Bacterial Genome Multiplexing

Can I multiplex bacterial genomes on MiSeq? If so, how many ? Thank you!

Uh...how much coverage will be useful for you?

Today = 8-9M PF read pairs (2x150bp from each) = ~2.6GB = ~566x coverage of one E.coli sized genome (4.5MB). Divide at will.

It means Pass Filter - not all reads generated pass the filtering process eg a run could generate 10 million reads but only 9 million are passed by the quality filtering process.

            Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
            by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
