  • Bioinformatics Quality Analyst

You will use your strong foundation in biology, computational techniques, and creativity to assess, ensure, and improve the quality of our rich and diverse biological content. We have built a world-class Knowledge Base rich with molecular and functional relationships derived from scientific literature and biological databases. Our content is the driving force behind our sophisticated existing and emerging solutions, from our flagship product Ingenuity Pathways Analysis to our newly introduced
Ingenuity Variant Analysis. Your work will help assure the correctness, completeness, accuracy, and reliability of the biological content, analytics, and interpretations in these applications. This is an excellent opportunity to be directly involved in developing our technology, delivering a high-quality product, and making an impact on life science research and healthcare. Training will be provided.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    - Work with scientific curators and developers to identify and analyze content issues. Write and maintain code that can determine when content may be inconsistent, unexpected, or not well-supported.
    - Think critically about our technology and processes and develop scalable methods for testing scientific quality.
    - Analyze and report defects found with tests and assess risk. Be a passionate voice of our scientific product customers internally. Evaluate, prioritize, and escalate issues as necessary.
    - Work with biologists and data analysts to assure the quality of processes, tools, and models for developing, delivering and maintaining our Knowledge Base.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
