Hi everyone! I'm a technician working with Chlamydomonas reinhardtii (and getting started with Oryza sativa, though having some early setbacks in growth techniques... :P).
I started using the Illumina HiSeq recently for re-sequencing. I will be using it for RNA-seq in the next few months.
In addition to measuring gene expression I'm interested in inferring regional variations in genomic data bioinformatically. I just started that work using RNA-seq data in GEO, and I'm not a great coder, so it's going slowly but surely. I should have just started with microarray data but I want to familiarize myself with sequencing data...
