Hello folks. My question is not science-related, but still: how to disable examlpe alignments, 3Ds and other assorted garbage popping up on launch of jalview?

The examples loaded by Jalview when run as a web start application, can be disabled by going to: "Tools" -> "Preferences..." -> "Visual" and disabling the "Open file" option.
Please note: the best place to provide feedback to the Jalview community and get support with Jalview is via the jalview-discuss mailing list: http://www.compbio.dundee.ac.uk/mail...alview-discuss |

No such button in the preferences tab. Already tried fiddling with nearly any setting to no effect. Anyway, thanks for the mailing list link.
