    Hi!

does anybody know about any training course on DNA/DNA library construction for Illumina sequencing?

    Thanks!

The Illumina website actually has a lot of documents about DNA library construction. This is for their DNA library preps. I would set up an account with MyIllumina and go through all the training videos and protocols. Illumina also offers webinars that deal with a variety of topics. They host a lot of webinars on library preps and experiment design.

The Broad Institute has a really nice set of presentations - BROAD Analyser Bootcamp - very nice tips tricks and hints...
This course contains narrated presentations and video-based lab modules from the Genome Analyzer Boot Camp developed jointly by The Broad Institute and Illumina and held in February 2010. In this online version of the Boot Camp sessions, you’ll get an in-depth look at the chemistry and workflows for the Genome Analyzer. You’ll learn tips and tricks as well as best practices developed by the Broad to achieve even higher performance from the Illumina Genome Analyzer.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
        by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

        Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
        by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
