  • automated library prep for mRNA

Does anyone have any thoughts about the best system for automated library prep in mRNA seq? Criteria include the following:

    1 - Throughput
    2 - Minimum sample requirements
3 - Ability to enrich for message/deplete non-message integrated into workflow
    4 - Hands-on time

Let's say money is no object.

    Thanks!

The integenX system is pretty nice...that is if money isn't an object of course

The Applied Bioystems RapidHIT ID System offers new ways to work together in the effort to solve more crime. Partners in forensics, from lab, law enforcement, and public safety, can benefit from Rapid DNA results in many applications.

We have an IntegenX Apollo. I haven't tried it with RNA, but it works well with straight DNA library prep. I'm pretty sure they'd arrange for you to demo one or visit and try one out in a nearby lab.

        Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
        by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
