    The Job: Manage the successful deployment and customization of GenomeQuest to our customers. Build killer NGS workflows that create beautifully interactive reports both for customers and for core product. Be the outward facing voice of the company in the bioinformatics field. Amaze your colleagues with your ability to balance three projects too many. Occasional travel around the US and Europe. (We have an office in Paris)

    Responsibilities
    Custom services including development of new bioinformatics workflows based on customer, sales, or strategic needs; creation of Statements of Work, accurate costing of proposed customer development projects, management of technical resources to ensure on-time delivery
    Pre-sales support including technical presentations, development of project proposals, training

    Post-sales support including management of customer evaluations, communication of new product features, regular customer follow-up, identification of account growth opportunities, training
    Bridge-building between customer needs and Product Management to drive productization of customer projects into future revs of standard GenomeQuest product

    Industry Canary: evaluate market needs and trends on an ongoing basis through conference attendence, customer interactions, trade press
    Evangelize the company through scientific conference attendance, scientific presentations, other speaking engagements, white papers

    Requirements:
    Degree in life sciences or computer science; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
    At least 5 years experience in bioinformatics or life science research IT
    Customer service orientation; proven capabilities interacting with customers
    Outstanding presentation and communication skills
    Extensive knowledge of bioinformatics tools and applications
    Strong programming skills in Perl, Java, PHP, HTML, C++ a plus
    Very comfortable working at the UNIX/LINUX command line, HPC
    Demonstrated ability to operate singly and as part of a team
