We are sending a genomic DNA sample to Otogenetics for human exome sequencing. They will make the library, sequence and do some bioinformatics at a very reasonable intro price. They are also giving us a great price for RNAseq. Does anyone have any experience with them? Good or bad comments are welcome.

They are very unprofessional. Irresponsive to emails. Sends you back data with no explanation of which samples are which. I got an excel spreadsheet and a bunch of bioanalyzer traces and the samples don't even correlate. Do no go with Otogenetics.

I just wanted to address this post, as I was recently hired by Otogenetics as their Marketing Manager. There has been a significant number of changes here in the past few months, including a new CEO, and we are striving to provide absolute quality services and a pleasant customer experience (one of my key goals).
Please feel free to contact me directly and I would be more than happy to work with you to regain your trust in our company.
Thank you,
Richard Grandy

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...-

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...-
