Default bamcheck

Hi,

Does anybody knows where (package) I can find the bamcheck program ? This is a program who collects stats from bam files.

What kind of statistics do you want? The 'samtools idxstats example.bam' command is quite handy for read mapping counts.

Bamutils: http://genome.sph.umich.edu/wiki/BamUtil:_stats

Are a couple of other options.
