Hello all,
Just a little bit curious to hear from someone who has actually used the Mi-Seq. I'm working with a group that is considering some samples off to be run on a Mi-Seq, but we don't have much information on instrument run times. Using this released run data from Illumina 1 x 35 bp 4 hours 2 x 100 bp 19 hours 2 x 150 bp 27 hours I have determined that the cycle time is a little under 5 minutes and the SE cluster generation is about an 1.2 hours and the total PE cluster time is 3 hours. Can anyone with field experience confirm or debunk these approximations? I have seen a post on a facility's website that advertised 2 x 25 reads being ran in about 5 hour run times, which jives with my math and tells me I may be missing something. Any help would be appreciated |
