Hi everyone,
I have a set of proteins ID that i'm blasting locally using blastp and the new blast+ program. The problem is that I cannot retrieve in any way the name of the organism to whoch the subject id refers. It would be wonderfull if I could find a way to get the full description appear for the subject sequence (instead of truncated one) or blast the obtained gi from the tabular output (-outfmt 7) and obtain the organism name. Any suggestions?? Thanks all!!! D |

You are not alone:
