Default hybridization failure- Target exome sequencing Ion proton

I am new to sequencing world. We are trying to perform library preparation for exome sequencing using Ion Proton. During the process there is three days hybridization step which got interrupted due to some power failure after 24hrs and samples were sitting at room temp for more than 16 hrs.

We are in dilemma that should we continue with hybridization step or should we abort and start again with the new sample.

Has anyone had this issue before?

Can you suggest , whats the best possibility?

Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

Regards

vandy

Hi vandy, I assume you've moved on from this now, did you try and save the reaction? in my experience with Sureselect this step is extremely sensitive so we would have started again if this had happened to us

Thanks JPC,
We did go ahead for hybridisation and the sample qualified all most the QC steps
