I have backup file in .gbk extension, it is a backup from a softwere and how can i open and see the infos from inside?

If it is a "genbank" format file then you should be able to open it in any text editor. Make a copy if you are working something important first.
If this backup was not from a bioinformatics software then you are posting this question in a wrong forum. -
I don;t know the source software, how to check where is it from? I try with a text editor but i can see some strange symbols, i think cannot open it with a text editor.Comment
