Default Ion Proton Bead Size

Is anyone aware of any literture outlining the bead size used in the Ion Proton sequencing platform?

I have seen a lot of off-hand accounts that they are ~300 nm, however I have yet to see anything directly confirming this in the literature or from Ion Torrent.

I seem to recall seeing somewhere that the wells on the P1 chip are ~1uM and the beads ~0.6uM. Someone posted some EM pictures on Seqanswers a while back but I can no longer find the post.

Thanks. I just did a search and was able to find the post.

There aren't any images of the Proton beads, but for the size of the wells ~600 nm does seem to be appropriate.

I'll keep searching and post here if I find out anything new.
