    Next-Generation Sequencing and Bioinformatics for Genomics & Healthcare meeting to be held on Dec 16 th & 17 th, 2011 at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Trivandrum , Kerala, India. The meeting is jointly organized by SciGenom Labs Pvt Ltd, a genomics oriented R& D company based in Cochin, Kerala, India along with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Trivandrum, India and Centre for Bioinformatics, University of Kerala, Trivandrum, India.

    The intent of the meeting is to showcase the applications of Next Generation Sequencing and promote awareness on the technology among the research community in India, including students.

    Some of the distinguished speakers at the meeting include Dr. Aravinda Chakravarti, Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, USA, Dr Neeti Sanan Mishra, ICGEB, New Delhi, India, Dr Stephan Schuster, Penn State, Pennsylvania, USA, Dr Arijit Mukhopadhyay, IGIB, New Delhi, India and Dr Yijun Ruan, Genome Institute of Singapore, Singapore. The meeting also features a hands-on bioinformatics workshop for NGS data analysis.
