  • Need your views on a custom pipeline

    Hi,

Here's a link to my most recent presentations. My team created a pipeline to map sequences to a custom dataset using the BWA aligner. The pipeline also gives some stats and does an error check. The next step is to integrate it with other tools and I need your views. Please give the presentation a few mins and let me know what you think about it plus your ideas on what more could be done.

    Thanks!

well it is kind of funny, not that scientific, but I don't know how serious this presentation needs to be.

one huge point is that slides are totally overloaded. Keep some information out of it and keep it more simple then maybe I am going to check all slides in more detail. :P

The pipeline on it's own looks useful for me.

I submitted this with a more scientific report and I got the highest grade tho :P I'm sure the teachers liked it.

It is useful, it's going to be used in future projects.

Yeah, that's a great point. I'll keep it in mind not to info-overload the slide next time.

Thanks for the time you took reading the stuff!

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
        by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

        Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
        by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
