A Computer Biologist is required to lead on the challenges of efficiently processing, analysing and storing Next Generation Sequencing data primarily being generated by Wales Gene Park Genomic Facility. Specifically, this will involve assessing, selecting and implementing ‘Next Generation Sequence’ analysis software creating the entire informatics pipeline needed to take raw data through to mapped, annotated data as well as advising on initial project design and ‘end user’ analysis approaches.
The role involves working closely with scientific/IT staff to plan and design novel solutions to improve and update these processes.
