Default Add a reference with no PubMed ID

Hi,

I'd like to edit a wiki page related to a software and add a new reference, but the papers I should add are not indexed in PubMed.

"To add a reference for XXX, enter the PubMed ID in the field below and click 'Add'. "

What should I do?

Thank you,
Fabio

Cheers Fabio,

Currently the reference support is quite minimal (something we hope to expand in the future).

The current working policy is to enter a PMID, if available, or a suitable 'tag'. For the 'tag' you could use a DOI or ISBN, if available, or something like 'FirstAuthorYear', such as 'FrobiaI2010'.

You can see the kinds of thing that have been used here:

We are always looking for ways to improve SEQwiki, so please don't hesitate to post suggestions, ideas, bug reports, etc. etc.

All the best,

Thank you!

I was also thinking about making a new page about a software. Is there a guideline? Where can I learn the wiki syntax?

The idea behind this type of wiki (Semantic MediaWiki) is that by using a form, and with the autocomplete features, no additional knowledge is required.

You can play with editing a form here:

Or you can see how you get on creating a new application here:

Don't hesitate to 'be bold' ;-)
