Default The Best Robot for DNA Extractions

Hi Everyone,

I am the Lab Mgr of a NGS Core Facility and we are in the market for a robot to perform DNA and RNA extractions. I have looked at the QIACube and Promega's Maxwell so far but I am eager to get input from the community. I appreciate any input negative and positive.

We use Perkin Elmer Zephyr compact Liquid handler.

Being able to handle 96 wells format at the same time is one of the reason we picked Zephyr. So far it has work well and we can make illumina library with it including BAC prep, SPRI clean up with limited hands on time.

We opted not to use it for enzymatic reactions because we make libraries in a very small vol and it is actually faster to do it by hand in those steps.
