  • Pretty impressive people....

in the expert network of this bioinformatics company.

But how do they compare to this advisory board?

      Also remarkable, indeed.

I think it depends on project outline and asked question. For software development I would probably favor the latter and for consulting and data interpretation the first.

Overall, I think it is good that academia starts opening for industry. At least a little.

Does anyone has experience with these offers? Do these experts really work with the companies, or are they on the websites for marketing purposes only?

Guys, SNPsaurus is pulling your leg. If you read the text (generic brand video? white space scripting? genome assembly by 'cat'?) and check out the links, you'll see that it's a spoof. The Twitter announcement on April Fool's Day is another clue. And the likelihood of Lior and Manolis collaborating (or Dan and Ewan) is zero.

Sorry to anyone taking it at face value. I meant no offense... I had enjoyed the Paired End Genomics announcement earlier and it was just something that came to mind with the "heads in circles" website design similarity.

When you work with us you're nearly guaranteed to result in simultanous publication of over 30 papers in several peer reviewed journals
What??? I already sent them the $5000 for the triple-peer-review bonus deal. Are you sure it's not for real?

I'm pretty sure that this publication guarantee is contingent upon membership in a particular consortium...

Perhaps the "scripting" word is a giveaway but there is apparently such a thing as "Whitespace" programming language https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whites...ng_language%29

Yes, there is. But scripting in a language that's limited to space, tab, and linefeed would be challenging. And debugging would be a nightmare!

                      @SNPsaurus: You've got me there!

Next time I will stop being impressed by the nice pictures and read the text!

Ooops, just realized that the page is not even linked to the website.

Correct, it seems they included it in their offerings.

Coming back to my initial question: Does anyone have experience with such offers?

                              by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

                              by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
