  • Genomics Technician at Ambry Genetics

    Ambry Genetics is seeking to hire a full time Technician/Associate for its Genomics Division.

    Roles and responsibilities:
    The candidate will help prepare libraries from DNA and RNA samples, set-up sequence runs on the Illumina next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform, and also help analyze and report biological data. Computer and basic bioinformatics skills need to be applied.

    Required skills and experience:
    Candidates should have a BS, or preferably MS in Molecular Biology, Genetics or a related field with solid wet lab experience including sequencing methods. The preferred candidate has excellent molecular biology skills and a good understanding of genomics.
    • At least 1 year practical experience in preparing and running sequencing data, desirably hands-on experience on the Illumina platforms.
    • Computer skills and basic bioinformatics skills necessary.
    • Motivated to work full time on sequencing projects using new methods and willing to learn new relevant skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment of a fast-moving genetic service company.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
